Aladaglar

Aladaglar, located within the borders of Kayseri-Niğde-Adana and the Taurus Mountains, have a richness of mountains, plants, animals and especially birds due to its geological and geomorphological characteristics, Mediterranean climate and continental climate. 

Aladağlar, which is a 55 thousand hectare National Park, is one of the largest parks in Turkey in this area.

Located in the triangle of cities of Kayseri, Adana and Nigde Aladağlar, which is a national park and wildlife development area within the borders of Yahyalı, Çamardı, Kozan, Feke, Aladağ, Pozantı districts, is a very large mountain extension.

Aladağlar, which has the climate and plant characteristics of both regions, as one side faces Central Anatolia and the other side faces the Mediterranean. 

Demirkazık Hill, 3756 meters high, has glaciers and lakes.

The canyon, with its rocky, stony, sharp and steep slopes, attracts the attention of mountaineers, bird photographers, bird watchers and nature walkers.

Tourists from home and abroad visit the place for climbing and hiking at any time of the year Aladaglar, which is used as a highland of the nomads in summer, together with animal husbandry, agriculture and tourism during the winter. 

Aladağlar, with its magnificent flowers and wonderful scenery around seven lakes for camping, has many hiking trails ideal for trekking .

Zamantı River offers great rafting opportunities, is a wonderful open-air museum.

Aladağlar, which is hot in summer and cold and snowy in winter, provides the development of the region by increasing the temperature to 30ºC during the day while the lakes freeze at night due to the high temperature difference between day and night.

Aladağlar National Park has rich black pine and red pine forests and firs in humid regions. Karst caves, lakes, bridges under which the Zamantı River flows form a rich habitat.

Demirkazık Hill

It is the point where mountaineers climb and paragliding flights are made in the Central Taurus Mountains in Aladağlar National Park. 

Seven Lakes

Located in the Aladağlar National Park in the Kayseri section, Yedigöller consists of 7 lakes at an altitude of 3500 m.

Hacer Forest

The Hacer Forest, which is also located in the Kayseri section, has a bowl width of approximately 3000 ha and has a calcareous structure which consists of tree species such as larch, red pine, fir, cedar and juniper. 

Demirkazık, Yedigöller, Kapuzbaşı Waterfalls, Hacer Forests and Zamantı Valley in Aladağlar are used for climbing, hiking, sports and tourism for mountaineers.

It is possible to do rafting in more than 15,000 meters of Zamantı, which travels nearly 50 kilometers in Yahyalı. Winter sports and winter tourism in Aladağlar provides ideal environments for winter sports with the snow cover approaching 2 meters for a long time.

Emli Valley

Emli Valley, Aladaglar has suitable climbing tracks, camping areas and biodiversity. The valley is home to a large number and variety of plants and animals. 

Kapuzbaşı Waterfall: 

The biggest waterfall out of 7 waterfalls is higher than 85 meters and its flow rate has a strong flow density. It is easy to access.

Aladaglar bird species 

Although Aladağlar is the best researched area in terms of flora in the Near and Middle East, research continues as the species identified are part of the known.

It is possible to come across a wide variety of bird species. Such as the rock pigeon, crow, spotted woodpecker, green woodpecker, white wagtail, swallow, magpie, snow finch, black vulture, hawk, and falcon.

There are a small number of wolves, foxes, jackals, wild goats, and mountain hares.

Aladaglar offers habitats to animals with its natural diversity. Many domestic and foreign tourists come to the area for bird watching and bird photography.

Arabian Nightingale and some songbirds breed here. Climate and vegetation create the environment for this.

Birds such as Hawk Eagle, Snake Eagle, Atmaca and Delice live in the red pine forests of the national park, species such as Şahin and Doğan breed, Eagles and Vultures nest.

The Aladaglar, where the King Eagle reigns, is the breeding and sheltering area of the Ur Partridge. The most common bird species include Eagle, King Eagle, Imperial Eagle, Snake Eagle, Henna Partridge, Stone Partridge, Black Kite, Red Kite, Falcon, Red Vulture, Gökçe Falcon, Arabian Nightingale, Woodpecker.

Neomys teres

Eirenis barani reptile species, native to the Mediterranean and endemic to Turkey, live in the area.

Endangered Barbatula seyhanensis  inland fish is one of the important species.

Transportation to Aladağlar National Park is provided by road from Kayseri, Niğde and Adana. East entrance Yahyalı of Kayseri; west entrance Niğde Çamardı Demirkazık and Çukurbağ; the southern entrance is made from Adana Aladağ district.

Aladağlar National Park has wonderful features and richness with karst lakes, glacial lakes, caves, endemic plant and animal species and waterfalls that can be a source of tourism.
